Battle Warship: Naval Empire Guide (Buildings & Upgrades)
Battle Warship is a tactical real time strategy MMO that has you at the helm of a massive army, that once owned the seas. As of now, though, you’re just a rag-tag group that must regroup and power up once again. This is done by rebuilding old buildings, manufacturing weapons, and recruiting able units into your team. Although this can all be done at your own pace, there are some tips and tricks that can ensure that you come out on top. Here are just a few of these tips and tricks that can help you become the best commander to ever rule the seas. To start, let’s talk about the upgrading and construction of buildings.
Even is Best
At the start, you won’t have much. You’ll have to figure out how to bring all of your stations online, as well as keep them powered and steadily supplied with resources. Not only that, you will need to manage your buildings to ensure that you will not be too unbalanced in the future. Here are some tricks to keep yourself in check.
When choosing resource buildings, make sure you have an even number of them. Each zone will generally take up one type of resource production building. But, ensure that you evenly build them. For instance, if you have 2 oil depots, make sure you have 2 of the others as well. This way, you will always have an even number of resources, meaning you will never be short later on, or uneven when it comes to very large upgrades that require large amounts overall.
Second, keep all of your buildings at the max level. This has to deal more with the fact that you can constantly upgrade your headquarters at an early level, but this causes multiple issues extremely quickly. For one, you must understand that you are playing against other people. These people will generally see a higher level player, and either look to take their resources, as well as steal their armies and reputation. If you are not properly prepared, you will end up on the receiving end of many defeats. As such, before you upgrade your headquarters to the next level and unlock more upgrades, ensure all the other upgrades have been done already.
As you move through the ocean and continue to build up your arms, you will have the option to bring about minor upgrades to your armies, weapons, defenses, and resource buildings through research and technological advances. These are essential if you wish to be a force to be reckoned with, but there are some things that you must remember in order to become the best.
First, focus on upgrading damage and attack power for your troops and platoons. Every upgrade is permanent, and most of them are percentage upgrades, meaning that they gain more power the more you upgrade the units themselves. So, gaining these early will continuously increase the power of the troops over and over again. As such, make sure to keep army upgrades at the top of the list.
The following upgrade you should focus on are defenses for your island. As we talked about before, you will need strong defenses to withstand attacks. when researching technology, focus on upgrading the strength of your walls and defensive barriers, including the returning fire guns to help stave off attackers.
Lastly, research technology for resource development and collection. These can be last, as you will most likely be plundering already. But, it is still not bad to do if you have some extra time on your hands.
With combat, there are a few things to keep track of. For one, keeping track of the enemy that you attack and what they have in their arsenal is important, as well as how you combat them yourself. You will have options to work with, as well as how you go about it. Will you be the strong fighter and just barrel through the enemy? Or will you strategically focus on fights at points? Here are a few things to use and take advantage of.
First, is the recon ability. As you are an army commander, you have the option to recon and see what the enemy has in their defenses. This will give you valuable information, such as how large their defenses are, and what armies they have. Such things as frontliners, backliners, and the like are all important when attempting to attack. What you do with the information, however, is up to you.
The first style and tactic is the punch through tactic, or hard-headed style. This comes from the fact that, some people just attack the enemy, as long as their power is higher than their opponent. Although this seems sound, it only works if you have already gotten an even power field across the board. In this case, meaning that they have to be equal in defense and offense, as well as health. If not, the enemy can easily steamroll through your attackers.
The second style is tactical. With the information you are given, you quickly utilize the different offensive and defensive units to attack the weak points of the enemy. For instance, if the enemy has quite a few frontline attackers, but few backline damage dealers, you can focus on having multiple backline threats to destroy the enemy frontline, as well as destroy their backline. The opposite is true as well. In essence, tactical is playing rock paper scissors, and always knowing what the enemy will throw.
There are multiple ways to play the game, and this is not the only way. But, it is a quick way. These tips are free for anyone to use, but how you utilize them is up to you. Good luck, and happy conquering!
