How to Clear Play Store Cache on Android

Cached data can be a culprit to many problems on an Android device.

If you ever experience issues with the Google Play Store, we recommend you start off by clearing the cache. This should resolve most issues. If it doesn’t, there are other options available like uninstalling or updating the app or even resetting the device to factory settings.

To clear the cache of the Google Play Store app, you need to go to Settings -> Apps & notifications -> See all apps -> Google Play Store. Then, tap on Clear cache. That’s it.

Note: If you want to delete the data of the Play Store app, then you need to tap on Clear storage and Clear data button.

What happens if I clear cache on Google Play?

Google Play uses cached data to load apps or website faster. When you clear the cache, it removes all the data stored in your app. You won’t lose any data by clearing Play Store’s cache.

However, if you delete app data, this can potentially remove some of your app settings. You may need to reconfigure apps after this.
