How to Delete Clipboard on Android Phone

Android has a clipboard manager that automatically saves everything you copy to your clipboard. It’s a convenient feature, but it can also be problematic if you don’t want your phone to remember the things you copy and paste.

Fortunately, Google has made it easy to clear the clipboard if you so desire. Here’s how to do it:

Method 1

To clear clipboard history on your Android device:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select System.
  3. Tap on Language & Input.
  4. Select Advanced.
  5. Choose Clipboard under the Personal section.
  6. Tap on the Clear Clarkboard option and you’re done!

Method 2

  1. Open the Google app and tap the More icon (three bars) on the bottom right.
  2. Scroll down and tap Settings > General > Clear Clipboard.
  3. On the next screen, tap Clear to delete all items from your clipboard.
  4. You’ll see a confirmation that says “Clipboard is empty” after successfully deleting all clipboard data.

If you are noticing your memory getting slower and slower, its due to the large amount of items that have been copied to your clipboard. You can easily free up some space by clearing your clipboard contents from time to time.
