How to Delete Recently Used Emojis on Android

If you’ve used the emoji keyboard at all, the chances are that your recent emojis list is full of characters that you’d rather not share with others. You can delete recently used emojis from your Android phone by deleting them from the recent emojis list.

There are two ways you can delete recently used Emojis from the Android keyboard.

You can delete all the recent Emojis at once in the Gboard settings or you can delete a single recent emoji from the keyboard directly.

1. How to Delete All Recent Emojis on Android

If you want to get rid of all your recent emojis, follow these steps:

1. Open the Gboard app by tapping on its icon.

2. In the Gboard app, tap on the Preferences option in the bottom-right corner.

3. Tap on the Delete learned words option in the Preferences menu. You’ll see a list of all your learned words, including emojis and other words that you’ve added to your dictionary. If you don’t see Delete learned words option here, then go back to Step 2 and tap on Text correction instead. You’ll find this option under Advanced settings in this menu.

4. Tap on Delete all in the Delete learned words prompt to remove all your recently used emojis from the keyboard.

2. How to Delete Certain Emojis on Android

To delete recently used emojis, simply long-press on any of the emojis in the list and a delete button will pop up. You can then delete them individually or click on the trash can icon at the top right of the screen to remove all of your recent emojis.

The process of deleting these emojis is different for each android version, but most of the time you simply press on the emoji and a small box should pop up that says “delete.” From there you can either delete them all or just a few.
