How to Cut a Song for Ringtone on Android

You can set any song on your Android device as a ringtone for your calls, messages and alarms. But what if you like just a part of the song? Well, this is where things get a little tricky.

Android doesn’t let you create custom ringtones for individual contact. However, you can set an MP3 file as custom ringtone or notification sound.

How to Make a Certain Part of a Song Your Ringtone Android

To create a custom ringtone, you need to find an audio file that is supported by the Android operating system. If you don’t have one handy, you can download an MP3 file from Google Search and save it to your phone. Alternatively, you can also convert YouTube videos into MP3 files using a website like this or any other similar service out there.

First of all, we’ll need to create a folder inside the internal storage of our phone. Go to My Files app and navigate to Internal Storage > Create New Folder and name it Ringtones.

Next, we’ll need the song that we wish to cut for a ringtone on our phone. If the song is already in your phone’s memory, then skip this step. Otherwise, transfer it from your computer using a USB cable or via Bluetooth.

Using Ringtone Maker

Ringtone Maker – Mp3 Editor & Music Cutter is an Android application which helps you cut or trim your audio files to set as your phone ringtone. This app also lets you create ringtones from your favorite songs.

Here are the steps to create a ringtone from any song on your device:

Step 1: Download Ringtone Maker from the Google Play Store on your Android device and launch the app.
