How to Set Default Download Location on Android

If you are using an Android phone, that means you have Google Chrome as your default browser. By default, all the downloaded files will go to the internal storage of your device. But if you want to change that location so that it downloads file to SD card when available or simply a different folder of your choice in internal storage, here’s how to do it:

How to change default download location

First, open Google Chrome and tap on the three dots on the top right corner of the browser and then select Downloads from the menu.

You will now see a list of all the downloaded files from your browser.

To change the download location, tap on the gear icon at the top right corner.

Now toggle on “Ask where to save each files” under Download Location.

From here, you can choose any folder in your internal storage or SD Card as your download location.
